Department Mission

The mission of the Building Services Department (BSD) is to provide reliable, efficient, and sustainable City facilities to support our fellow departments.

Department Goals

Improve the condition of BSD-operated facilities by addressing the backlog of deferred facility maintenance.
Increase the Energy Star score across the portfolio of BSD-operated facilities through operational and facility improvements.
Improve customer satisfaction with facilities, facilities management, and services.
Reduce the frequency of unplanned outages by directing resources to planned and preventative maintenance activities.
Align the operating costs of BSD-operated facilities with industry standards.
