Department Mission

Austin Housing (AH) works to build equitable, integrated, and diverse communities by expanding affordable housing options and providing displacement prevention services. AH administers programs designed to assist low- to moderate-income residents in Austin, with an emphasis on housing and community development.

  3. Homeless Assistance Percent of households exiting homelessness supported by Housing Department rental assistance.
  4. Number of affordable rental units completed serving residents in 30-50% Area Median Income
  5. Number of completed units funded and incentivized in the Affordable Housing Inventory in accordance with the Austin Strategic Housing Blueprint Implementation Plan
