Performance Measures

This is a new Key Performance Indicator to measure Structure Ignition Zone Evaluations. A property assessment, commonly referred to as a SIZE Assessment, is a free wildfire risk checkup for a home or property, where a trained professional evaluates how likely it is that the home or structure could ignite during a wildfire, and offers simple steps you can take to reduce that risk. This free service is available to homeowners, businesses, and multifamily properties, including those outside of designated wildfire zones. During the evaluation, an Austin Fire-trained specialist walks the property to assess how likely it is to ignite from embers, heat, or flames and property owners receive customized recommendations on how to reduce risk. There is no obligation to follow the recommendations, but they provide a clear path toward improved safety.
