Performance Measures

The absolute number of traffic fatalities and serious injuries in Austin's Full Purpose jurisdiction. A fatality is defined as a death that resulted due to injuries sustained from the crash, at the scene or within 30 days of the crash. A suspected serious injury is defined as a severe injury that prevents continuation of normal activities. Note that this KPI is reported based on the fiscal year calendar, while other Vision Zero metrics are typically reported as calendar year numbers.
