Purpose: |

Under nominal supervision or working independently, this position oversees and manages the strategic direction of airport property management at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS), ensuring the effective marketing, administration, and leasing of airport real estate assets to support operational and revenue objectives. |
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |
|
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Manages and oversees the preparation, negotiation, and administration of AUS real estate agreements, including marketing unleased airport space and collaborating with third-party developers.
- Prepares requests for proposals (RFPs) and invitations for bids (IFBs).
- Negotiates and administers leases, contracts, and agreements for use of airport properties and facilities.
- Coordinates with the City's Law Department and other agencies to develop appropriate legal documents.
- Develops and maintains lease management files.
- Conducts research and prepares special reports and studies.
- Manages the airport’s tenant improvement program.
- Coordinates with other City departments for the appraisal of airport real estate assets and oversees tracking of appraisals and building studies to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements.

Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration, Economics or related field, plus four (4) years of experience involving airport contracts/lease management or governmental property management.
- One (1) year of experience may substitute for one (1) year of the required education with a maximum substitution of four (4) years.
