| Purpose: |

Reporting to the Chief Animal Services Officer, this position will provide administrative, program, and supervisory support for the Animal Services Office; develops and oversees programs, and provides supervision to ensure services are being delivered to patrons and animals of the Animal Services Office. |
| Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Develops and manages programs related to Animal Services and public education.
- Conducts research of best practices for delivery of animal care and services.
- Coordinates program activities with internal and external entities, organizations, community groups, and citizens.
- Monitors financial and budgetary information, provides financial reports to management, and ensures utilization is in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures.
- Resolves escalated customer complaints.

- Knowledge of applicable processes, techniques, and methods.

- Knowledge of supervisory and managerial techniques and principles.
- Knowledge of effective best practices related to animal services and education.
- Skill in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing.
- Skill in using computers and related software applications.
- Skill in data analysis and problem solving.
- Skill in handling conflict and uncertain situations.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with City employees and the public
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities.

| Minimum Qualifications: |
| |
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university plus four (4) years experience in a related field, two (2) years of which were in a supervisory or management capacity. |
