Purpose: | |||
Under general direction develops, implements, and monitors one or multiple aquatic programs and facilities within the Parks and Recreation Department. |

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: | |||
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. 1. Develops, implements, and monitors guidelines, policies, and procedures related to City-wide aquatics programs and facilities. |

Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised: | |||
Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal. |

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: | |||
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Knowledge of fiscal planning and budget preparation. |

Minimum Qualifications: | |||
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Recreation, Physical Education, Parks Administration or a field related to the job, plus four (4) years of experience related to the job, one (1) of which must have been in a supervisory capacity. |

Licenses and Certifications Required: | |||
Life Guarding and First Aid (Basic Level) Licenses and certifications required to be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire. |
