Under general supervision, this position directs all warranty recovery activities of Fleets Services, and is also responsible for improving and maintaining preventative maintenance programs in Fleet Services and tracking and reporting manufacturers campaigns and recalls. |

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, controls, and directs obtaining warranty repairs from local authorized dealers and trains Service Center personnel on managing dealer warranties.
- Develops dealer warranty procedures, maintains database, tracks warranty dollars, and makes monthly reports.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, controls, and directs Fleets in-house warranty program and documents Fleets in-house warranty procedures.
- Instructs Service Center personnel on filing warranty claims, follows up on reimbursements from manufacturers or vendors, and makes monthly reports.
- Plans, organizes, coordinates, controls, and directs Fleets component, parts, and tire warranty program and documents Fleets component, etc. warranty procedures.
- Maintains a component, parts, and tire warranty database, tracks credits from vendors, ensures credits are reflected in M5, and makes monthly reports.
- Works with the Service Center Managers to plan, organize, coordinate, control, and direct Fleets PM (preventive Maintenance) program.
- Runs forecasting reports in the automated fleet management system, prepares notices of vehicles due preventive maintenance, and reports Operating Department compliance in scheduling preventive maintenance.
- Maintains Fleets manufacturer recall and campaign database, monitors campaign and recall status, and prepares monthly reports.
- Corresponds with manufacturers, vendors, and user departments on warranty, recall, preventative maintenance, and other maintenance and repair issues and problems.

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Knowledge of manufacturers vehicle warranty programs, claims processes, and payments.
- Knowledge of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical bulletins, factory recalls, and vehicle campaigns.
- Knowledge of OEM required and best in class large fleet preventative maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of fleet operations is necessary, especially quality control methods.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
- Skill in using computers and related software applications.
- Ability to persuade and explain is essential.
- Ability to interact with tact and courtesy and maintain a professional manner is highly desired.
