Purpose: | |||
Responsible for supervising the daily activities and operations of Distribution and Geographic Information System (GIS) personnel in the performance of planning, and design for construction, maintenance, and operational activities; including GIS and One Call Utility Locating services. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of Austin Energy and COA personnel and the general pubic engaged in excavation activities. |

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: | |||
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. 1. Develops and implements short and long range plans, programs, and personnel to provide GIS and One Call services to include planning, design, construction, maintenance, excavation, and operational distribution activities. |

Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised: | |||
Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal. |

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: | |||
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Knowledge of Federal, State, Local laws, ordinances, and regulations as applicable to the development and implementation of a GIS. |

Valid Texas Class C Drivers License. |
