Purpose: |

Under direction of the Information Security Office (ISO), this position promotes, supports, and implements the City’s Information Security Program at the entry level. |
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |
|
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Provides simple diagnoses and remedies to cybersecurity- or privacy-related incidents.
- Manages basic to moderate cybersecurity or privacy tasks to ensure the safety of technology assets and data.
- Maintains clear and concise documentation; documents incident management activities, e.g., time spent, actions taken, and status of incident.
- Performs research and investigations to facilitate incident resolution.
- Assists in documenting and following information security and privacy processes, procedures, and standards.
- Monitors and resolves simple cybersecurity or privacy incidents by applying knowledge of remediation techniques.
- Prioritizes information security or privacy risk mitigation and controls to accomplish business objectives.
- Works closely with business and technology personnel to document system security or privacy plans.
- Assists in performing security or privacy control assessments.

- Knowledge of Information Technology (IT).
- Knowledge of security or privacy.
- Knowledge of technical and management report writing procedures and techniques, including appropriate grammar, spelling, and diction.

Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- Graduation with an Associate degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- Experience may be substituted for education up to two (2) years.
- Industry certifications may be considered as substitution for education up to two (2) years.
