Purpose: | |||
Responsible for management of the construction and maintenance of Austin Energy’s 69kV, 138kV & 345kV Transmission System. | |||
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: | |||
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. 1. Determines, manages and recommends the implementation of projects, plans, and activities in System Operation including: scheduling, resource requirements, processes, planning and project performance for transmission construction and maintenance; recommends maintenance needs and projects to achieve maximum efficiency in completing construction and maintenance activities. |

Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised: | |||
Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal. |

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: | |||
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Knowledge of transmission line construction and maintenance practices, equipment, and techniques. |

Minimum Qualifications: | |||
Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus eight (8) years of related electric utility experience, two (2) years of which were in a lead or supervisory capacity. |
