Purpose: |

Develop and manage the Aviation Security and Ground Transportation division's programs and initiatives. |
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |
|
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Develops, organizes, and manages security and ground transportation programs and initiatives, i.e., transportation services program, curbside utilization program, etc.
- Develops and implements standard operating procedures
- Develops and manages ground transportation revenue control systems and procedures
- Coordinates security and ground transportation services for internal and external customers
- Provides recommendations to city council relating to airport ground transportation rates/fees
- Develops and customizes security and ground transportation plans
- Conducts divisional needs assessments, investigations on incident reports, safety- training, etc.
- Develops and manages contracts including the development of bids and specifications
- Develops and manages the security and ground transportation divisional budget and resources
- Represents departmental/city utilities and assets
- Purchases and provides resources, i.e., personnel, supplies, etc

Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised: |

- Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal.

Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a field related to the job, plus three (3) years experience in managing a security and/or ground transportation program, one (1) year of which was in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience may be substituted for education up to a maximum of four (4) years.
