Purpose: |

Responsible for advertising and promotional materials developed for assigned products and services and the day-to-day management of the creative processes that provide quality image and sales materials for the organization. |
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |
|
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Meets with product and service managers, provides input into appropriate advertising and promotional themes and materials, and assures quality development and production of these ideas
- Provides insight and guidance to strategies and materials that launch images, brands, and products/services
- Creates and delivers critical sales and advertising messages to various constituencies in response to competition in a deregulated marketplace
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with contracting agencies that supply support to Austin Energy accounts
- Provides marketing communication input into market segmentation and product planning
- Assists in developing advertising and promotion budgets

Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Knowledge of project management, database and spreadsheet software
- Knowledge of marketing and sales support, product development, and brand development requirements
- Knowledge of graphics and copy quality development
- Skill in product and service development and launch
- Skill in copywriting and editing for various media
- Skill in program development, direct marketing, trade-shows, collateral production and management
- Ability to develop and maintain corporate image and professional relationships
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to understand competitive challenges facing a monopoly in transition

Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to the job, plus four (4) years experience in a related field
- Experience may substitute for education up to four (4) years
