Purpose: |

Under general direction, supervise the operations and activities of Security & Ground Transportation personnel while ensuring compliance of the Airport Security Program, City's Ground Transportation Ordinances, Airport Rules and Regulations, and the City's Parking Ordinances at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. |
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Identifies and notifies replacement personnel to assume shift assignments as needed
- Reviews site documentation, activity, and tour reports
- Monitors welfare of personnel working after-hour and remote assignments
- Generates work order requests for repairs to compromised fence and gate and lock systems
- Responds to alarm notifications
- Patrols airport facilities and other airfield sites
- Meets and provides access to tenants, airport patrons, and other law enforcement agencies to secured and/or restricted areas as needed
- Provides periodic reports to management regarding shift activities, irregularities, and identity of needed action(s)
- Works outside scheduled hours to ensure consistent coverage, attend training classes, meetings and other activities as needed to meet the business needs of the organization and the workgroup
- Assumes on-call duty as assigned, responding to organization needs and reporting to duty as necessary
- Collects, reconciles and prepares deposits of ground transportation revenue

- Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and recommendation for dismissal.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: |
|
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
- Knowledge of or an ability to learn all safety and security related practices necessary for working in the Air Operations Area (AOA), Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) and other airport restricted areas
- Knowledge of or an ability to learn City policies and procedures
- Ability to train others
- Ability to lead and motivate others in improved work practices
- Ability to analyze irregular events and respond to critical situations
- Skill in communications, both written and verbal
- Ability to utilize most computer applications, including Word, Excel, and special security and ground transportation revenue applications
- Ability to operate motor vehicles
- Ability to utilize radio equipment, complying with Federal communication guidelines

Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus five (5) years of related experience
|
Licenses and Certifications Required: |
|
- Valid Texas Class C Drivers License
