Purpose: | |||
Provide supervision to perform installation and maintenance activities for all Electric Utility communications, relaying, measurement, monitoring and control equipment installed and associated with the operation of the Energy Control Center and the Electric Energy Delivery System. Activities include: designing, installing, configuring, monitoring, administering and troubleshooting. | |||

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: | |||
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Knowledge of utility communication, relaying and monitoring and control systems. Knowledge of applicable processes, techniques, and methods. Knowledge of Federal, State, Local laws, and ordinances. Knowledge of Electric Utility policy, and procedures. Knowledge of leadership and training techniques Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in using computers and related software applications. Skill in data analysis and problem solving. Skill in reviewing and interpreting of blueprints and schematics for relay applications. Ability to work with frequent interruptions and changes in priorities. Ability to train others. Ability to quickly recognize and analyze irregular events. Knowledge of supervisory and managerial techniques and principles Skill in handling conflict and uncertain situations. Ability to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with city employees and the public. |
