Purpose: | |||
Under general supervision, perform a variety of moderately complex engineering and technical tasks in support of the Austin Water Utility (AWU) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Electronic Security Systems (ESS). Exercises judgment within defined methods, procedures, and practices. |

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: | |||
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. 1. Supports SCADA and ESS operations and system integrity and ensures the highest operational reliability and system availability on a 24hour/7days a week basis. |

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: | |||
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. Knowledge of installing and maintaining process control and electronic security systems and equipment including; PLC’s, RTU’s, hubs, switches, and routers. |

Minimum Qualifications: | |||
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to the installation and maintenance of process control systems, electronic security systems, network communications or computer and peripheral equipment. |

Licenses and Certifications Required: | |||
Valid driver’s license |
