Purpose: | |||
Under general supervision, maintain and repair a variety of mechanical equipment in a swimming pool. |

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: | |||
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned. 1. Cleans and backwashes filters; maintains water treatment and pumping equipment and filters. |

Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised: | |||
• May lead, provide training, technical guidance or support, and assist in the evaluation of other personnel. |

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: | |||
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed. • Knowledge of the methods, materials and equipment involved in the operation of community swimming pools |

Minimum Qualifications: | |||
• Any combination equivalent to Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent plus four (4) years of maintenance experience in the operation and maintenance of swimming pools or related water treatment facilities. |

Licenses and Certifications Required: | |||
• Certified Pool Operator or must be able to obtain within 90 days from the date hire (certification must be nationally recognized).
