Purpose: |

Under limited supervision, performs complex evaluation of mitigation of outdoor music venues and of sound production used to transmit live and recorded productions in multiple media formats |
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |
|
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Evaluates technical quality of audio systems.
- Mitigates sound level issues with outdoor music venues.
- Evaluates and recommends layouts, flowcharts, and/or schematics of audio equipment.
- Integrates audio programming with live web casting and audio on demand equipment and needs.
- Provides expert advice to the permitting office.
- Creates, revises, and implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to sound and sound production equipment for use by City staff.
- Regulates sound inputs and feeds and/or coordinates audio feeds with live broadcasts and recordings.
- Determines audio production equipment needs and makes recommendation for purchases.

Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in sound Engineering, and Telecommunications or in a field related to the job plus four (4) years of related experience.
- Experience may substitute for education up to the maximum of four (4) years.

Licenses and Certifications Required: |
|
- Valid Texas Class C Drivers License.
