Purpose: |

Under general direction, performs routine supervisory work overseeing the daily operations of a support services unit. Work involves supervision of several support services functions to include accounting, purchasing, contract administration and compliance, and other administrative functions. |
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |
|
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Implements and monitors operational activities, policies, procedures, and related systems.
- Evaluates business process effectiveness and efficiency and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Develops and prepares management and productivity reports, studies, and analyses.
- Prepares, reviews, and evaluates financial and accounting documents, reports, and statements.
- Coordinates and monitors billing and collections activities. Coordinates the resolution of accounting and billing discrepancies and errors.
- Assists in the preparation of operating budgets and reviews ongoing expenditures.
- Coordinates the control of cash receipts, deposits, and disbursements; the purchase of supplies, services, and equipment; and the documentation of payment and billing claims.
- Assists in the preparation of cost and revenue projections and forecasts in the determination of appropriate rates and fees. Assists in the development of short and long range goals and monitors performance results.
- Conducts analysis of bid specifications, contracts, and compliance with City policies and contractual obligations.

- Ability to compile data and prepare narrative and statistical correspondence, reports, and presentations.

- Ability to maintain hard copy and computer filing and record-keeping systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with other city employees and the public.

Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field plus three (3) years of related experience, one (1) of which must have included management and/or supervisory experience.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting may substitute for two (2) years of the required experience.
