Purpose: | |||
Under nominal direction, coordinate, direct and manage activities and operations of the personnel engaged in horticultural/arboricultural practices, landscape construction, specialized landscape maintenance, and integrated pest management. | |||

Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised: | |||
Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling and recommendation for dismissal. | |||
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: | |||
Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

Minimum Qualifications: | |||
Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Horticulture, Arboriculture or other related field, plus four (4) years of related experience, including at least two (2) years in a lead or supervisory capacity. Experience may substitute for education up to four (4) years. |

Licenses and Certifications Required: | |||
Class "C" motor vehicle operator's license. Appropriate license(s) as specified for the assignment. American Society of Horticulture Science Certified Horticulturalist and/or International Society of Arboriculture Certification or prerequisites to obtain either certification within 6 months of hire. |
