Agenda Coordinator

Purpose:
 
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the activities associated with the
agenda posting requirements.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
  Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
  1. Coordinates executive session forecast and postings
  2. Coordinates assistance regarding agenda matters and items
  3. Drafts miscellaneous resolutions and ordinances when necessary
  4. Serves as resource to for agenda process and requirements
  5. Assists with postings for special-called meetings and agenda addenda
  6. Serves as liaison with and resource to City Manager, City Council and City departments
  7. Provides advice regarding legal posting requirements
  8. Coordinates with other City departments on final copies of official documents
  9. Coordinates bid protests
  10. Manages requests for information
  11. Develops agenda procedures

  None.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
  • Knowledge of applicable processes, techniques, and methods.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, Local laws, and ordinances
  • Knowledge of city practice, policy, and procedures.
  • Skill in effective oral and written communication
  • Skill in handling conflict and uncertain situations.
  • Skill in handling multiple tasks and prioritizing.
  • Ability to work with high level officials, pubic official, executives, and executives

Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences or related field, and two (2) years of experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences may substitute for two (2) years of work experience.
  • One year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of the required education up to four years.
