Purpose: |

Under general supervision, performs tasks required to ensure that all parties involved in the City of Austin's purchasing/contracting activities comply with the Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprise Procurement Program Ordinance. |
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |
|
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Works with City staff, prime contractor/vendors, businesses, and other entities to increase minority and women ownership and participation in City procurements or contractual obligations.
- Assists with responses to requests for information on the City Procurement Programs, and associated compliance documents, City business opportunities, and/or assistance available for small business.
- Provides information on minority and women owned business and make available to prime contractor/vendors or City staff.
- Reviews and maintains reports for completeness and accuracy.
- Provides data entry of subcontractor payments.
- Audits payments to subcontractors and ensures accuracy.
- Reviews and monitors databases and ensures accuracy

Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, or Finance.
- One (1) additional year of relevant work experience may substitute for one year of required education up to four (4) years
