Cashier II

Purpose:
 

Under general supervision resolves conflicts with patrons, ensures that cashiers have sufficient change, resolves equipment failures, and oversees the collection of fees for events and non-events. This position does not supervise.

Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
  Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
  1. Opens and closes parking facilities
  2. Verifies cash tills prior, operating banks change funds, collections are balanced and Accurate.
  3. Unlocks door, elevator access, and entrance gates
  4. Places appropriate signage
  5. Prepares and posts deposits
  6. Provides relief for cashiers for breaks and lunch.
  7. Provide transportation to cashiers and cash funds to main central garage
  8. Oversees the daily events to ensure that coupons are being utilized where applicable and fees are being collected for events
  9. Responds to customer questions and resolves issues
Responsibilities - Supervisor and/or Leadership Exercised:
 
  • May provide leadership, work assignments, evaluation, training, and guidance to others.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  Must possess required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

 

  • Ability to give direction and lead subordinates 
  • Ability to make change for cash accurately 
  • Ability to handle a high-volume of customers 
  • Skill in providing customer service 
  • Ability to accurately complete daily reports 
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively 
  • Skill in operating a cash register, calculator and other basic office equipment
  • Ability to solve problems
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
Minimum Qualifications:
 
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent, plus 2 years of cash handling experience
Licenses and Certifications Required:
 
  • Valid Texas Class C Drivers License
