Purpose: |

Under general supervision, directs, manages, and supervises activities, operations, and personnel in support of the Downtown Austin Community Court’s clinical case manager program |
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities: |
|
Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Manages department’s clinical case manager program activities and resolves operational and/or clinical conflicts
- Determines program goals, objectives, and resource requirements
- Develops, revises, implements, and ensures compliance with clinical case manager operating procedures and best practices for delivery of clinical care and case management services
- Monitors and evaluates clinical case manager programs for effectiveness and goal achievement and implements improvement strategies
- Participates in strategic and long-range planning
- Oversees the development of presentations
- Represents department at meetings and establishes/maintains excellent communication and working relationships with community stakeholders and government organizations.
- Acts as a liaison between the Downtown Austin Community Court and a variety of external social service providers and homeless advocates
- Assists in maintaining setups for the clinical case manager database activities to meet the court’s operational needs. Makes recommendations regarding system enhancement and/or problems
- Develops budgetary needs for clinical case manager unit, including personnel, equipment, and capital items
- Prepares and reviews reports as part of the process of setting goals, monitoring, and communicating unit performance results
- Troubleshoots and responds to citizen and staff inquiries
- Recommends major purchases and expenditures

Minimum Qualifications: |
|
- Graduation with a Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of experience in mental health crisis and trauma counseling, including three (3) years of which were in a lead or supervisory capacity OR
- Graduation with a Doctor of Philosophy from an accredited college or university in Mental Health Oriented Science or Arts, or in a field related to the job, plus three (3) years of experience in mental health crisis and trauma counseling, including two (2) years of which were in a lead or supervisory capacity

Licenses and Certifications Required: |
|
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Master’s Social Worker in the State of Texas, as required by position
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Supervisor in the State of Texas (must be able to attain within 90 days from the date of hire, as required by position)
- Valid Class C Driver License
