A person that intentionally or knowingly harms or threatens to harm a witness, prospective witness, informant, person that has reported a crime, or a person who intends to report an occurrence of a crime, can be charged with the 3rd degree felony crime of OBSTRUCTION/RETALIATION (Texas Penal Code 36.06).
