Department Mission
The Communications and Technology Management Department (CTM) provides information technology (IT) services to City of Austin departments and regional partners, including application delivery, web and mobile technologies, data center computing, reliable infrastructure, storage, technical support, project management, and secure, interoperable communication systems.
Department Goals
Improve sustainability and affordability of technology investments across the City by creating technology roadmaps for each Strategic Outcome.
Provide an excellent customer experience by making IT services fast, accessible, easy to use, and responsive to our business partner and resident needs.
Improve resiliency of City technologies by developing continuity of operations plans for all critical CTM supported applications and services.
Key Performance Indicators
- CTM's overall customer service satisfaction rating
- Percentage of CTM-supported departments with three year business and technology roadmaps that have been updated within the last six months
- Percentage of critical CTM-managed applications and services with documented disaster recovery and/or business continuity plans
